US seeks opportunities to broaden partnerships with Sri Lanka

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The United States (US) seeking opportunities to broaden and strengthen partnerships with Sri Lanka to respond to shared regional challenges, in the first Indo-Pacific Strategy Report, the US Department of Defence noted.

The report underlined that within South Asia, the US is working to operationalize its major defence partnership with India, while pursuing emerging partnerships with Sri Lanka, the Maldives, Bangladesh, and Nepal.
