No threats to security at schools – Police

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Police have called for the public to refrain from being deceived by false rumours circulating pertaining to the safety of security at schools.

Speaking to a prominent online news portal Police Media Spokesman Superintendent of Police Ruwan Gunasekara stressed that Police together with the Tri Forces and the Civil Defence Force have provided maximum security at schools.

The Police Media Spokesman noted on scene security have been provided for some schools while police mobile patrols were deployed around some other schools adding therefore the Police vehemently reject all rumours pertaining to the safety at schools.
