Police Officials in civilian attire to monitor traffic

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – Police headquarters are considering having Police officers dressed in civilian attire and Police cars without a Police logo to monitor traffic and thus be more successful in minimizing traffic accidents.

A test run of the plan was held in Colombo under the supervision of DIG Palitha Fernando.

A committee is currently assessing the results and shortcomings of the trial run.
