CID to probe news article on Doctor linked to NTJ

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) on Thursday (23) directed to conduct an investigation over a newspaper article alleging that a Doctor with ties to the National Thowheeth Jama’ath (NTJ) Organisation has performed unconsented sterilisation surgeries on 4,000 female patients.

The directive was issued by the Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP), C. D. Wickremeratne.
