(UTV|COLOMBO) – Leader of All Ceylon Makkal Congress (ACMC), Minister Rishad Bathiudeen on Wednesday (22) stated that the media reports about him were distorted and fabricated as a media mafia is in operation.
In an address to Parliament, Minister Bathiudeen denied that there is any truth in the allegations levelled against him and categorically refused the claims alleging that one of his brothers was arrested. The Minister stated that he can even submit a letter from the Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of the said-Police Station.
Stressing that the media attempts to accuse him falsely, the Minister of Industry and Commerce, Resettlement of Protracted Displaced Persons, Cooperative Development, Skills Development and Vocational Training, further rejected the claims that there is a Mawlawi as an Advisor to him.
Minister Bathiudeen added that all these allegations were not supported by facts, and found to be baseless.
