Consumer Affairs Authority raids Panchikawatta

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – The inspectors of the Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) raided vehicle spare parts outlets in Panchikawatta yesterday (17th Friday).

An inspector who participated in the raid told our news team that legal action will be instituted against 30 outlet owners for offering counterfeit spare parts for sale.

The suspects had counterfeited Chinese makes and sold them under the prominent German and Japan names.
