(UTV|COLOMBO) – UPDATE: The Government on Monday (06) lifted the nationwide ban on social media platforms, a day after a restriction was imposed in an effort to stop the spread of rumours after a clash erupted between groups of civilians in Negombo.

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Government on Sunday (05) re-imposed a ban on social media platforms in an effort to stop the spread of rumours after a clash erupted between groups of civilians in Negombo.

A curfew has been imposed in Negombo area until 7.00 AM.
