Suspects arrested with 600 defamatory letters handed over to CCD

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Three suspects arrested at the Central Mail Exchange in Colombo with defamatory letters, have been handed over to the Colombo Crimes Division (CCD).

The suspects identified as residents of Alawwa, Polgolla, and Wattegama were arrested on Thursday (02) at the Central Mail Exchange along with 600 letters, identified as defamatory to President Maithripala Sirisena and inciting enmity among races.

They were arrested following a tip-off received by the Fort Police.
