Comprehensive security plan around Religious Places, schools from today

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Commanders of the Tri-Forces and the Inspector General of Police (IGP) have been ordered to deploy additional Security Personnel to ensure the safety of all Religious Places, schools, universities, and higher education institutions in Sri Lanka.

President Maithripala Sirisena directed to ensure the security of these institutions around the country before the commencement of the second academic term, next Monday (06).

Accordingly, the Security Forces, together with the Police and the Civil Security Department, will set up a comprehensive security plan from Thursday (02).
