National Thawheed Jammath & Jamathei Millathu Ibraheem organisations banned

(UTV|COLOMBO) – President Maithripala Sirisena, in terms of powers vested in him as the President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka has taken steps to ban the organizations National Thawheed Jammath and Jamathei Millathu Ibraheem in Sri Lanka under Emergency Regulations No.01 2019.

Issuing a statement the President’s Media Division said the government has taken steps to confiscate all assets belonging to the organisations.

Furthermore the activities of other extremist groups within Sri Lanka will also be banned under Emergency Regulations No.01 2019.
