(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – Showers or thundershowers will develop at several places over most provinces of the island after 2.00 pm today (14th March), Met. Department said.
Fairly heavy showers (about 50mm) are also likely at some places, especially in the Central, North-central, North-western, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces and in the Galle district, the Department said.
A few showers also likely along the Eastern and North-Western coastal areas during the morning too.
Temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers are expected and the public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning.
