(UTV|COLOMBO) – A troop of Naval Personnel recovered a haul of explosive hidden in the sea area off Gandhi Nagar on Wednesday (10).
Accordingly, Naval Personnel attached to the Eastern Naval Command recovered this haul of explosive which was hidden inside a granite plate, during a raid carried out in that area.
Twelve sticks of gelignite (1.7 kilogrammes), 08 nos of non-electric detonators, 3 feet long safety fuse were recovered and these items were handed over to Kuchchaweli Police for further investigation.
