(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – The special traffic plan imposed in Rajagiriya as part of the Priority lane project will continue today (14th Tuesday) as well.
The priority lane project is due to minimize traffic congestion in the area. Through the project dual lanes will be considered priority lanes for passenger buses.
Dual lanes between the Rajagiriya Junction to the Ayurvedic Junction and Ayurvedic Junction to the Rajagiriya junction will function as priority lanes.
However, it has been identified that private vehicles have been subjected to inconveniences as a result of the project.
Accordingly, several decisions taken yesterday to minimize the issue will be implemented today.
