A Lankan resident in England killed in a stabbing

(UTV|COLOMBO) – A Sri Lankan resident in England has been killed in a brutal stabbing. Information is reported that the victim was 54-year old Ravi Kathakamar.

He had a retail goods store in Pinner. He had been subject to the stabbing when he arrived to open his shop at 6.30 in the morning on Sunday.

Police of that country suspects that a robber was involved in the stabbing.

Ravi Kathakamar who was a popular character in that area had also served as a newsagent in North-western London.

Foreign media reported that the Police have launched an investigation into the murder.

Meanwhile, the attention of the security forces in that country has been focused on several other stabbings that took place on the same day. The Police have requested the public to inform security forces if they have any information in connection with this murder.

In the meantime, moments before his death, Kathakamar is featured on footage of CCTV cameras  fixed nearby, walking on the road.
