S. Thomas’ dominate day 1

(UTV|COLOMBO) – S. Thomas’ College Mt. Lavinia dominated the game over Mahinda college, Galle on day one of the ‘Singer Trophy’ Under 19 division 1 inter schools 2 day cricket tournament quarterfinal match at Reid Avenue yesterday.

Mahinda College Galle won the toss and decided to field first. S. Thomas’ scored 274 runs for 4 wickets in 96 overs at close on day one. Umayanga Suwaris scored unbeaten 68 runs and Ryan Fernando scored 50 runs. Yohan Perera (48), Shalin de Mel (43) and Ravindu de Silva (28) helped to build their inning.
