Parents of Kottawa Dharmapala Vidyalaya protest against Chief Minster Isura

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – A group of parents of students from Kottawa Dharmapala Vidyalaya staged a protest in front of the school this morning (10th Friday).

The protesters complained that Western Provincial Council Chief Minister Isura Devapriya influenced the appointment of the new principal for the school.

Interviews were conducted to select a principal for Darmapala Vidyalaya.

The Principal of Asoka Vidyalaya, Y.S. Yasarathna, obtained the highest marks in the interview scoring 219 marks.

However parents claimed that the principal of Maharagama Central College, K.K. Wijerathna who obtained 201 marks has been given the appointment by the Chief Minister.

Our news teams’ attempts to contact Western Provincial Chief Minister Isura Devapriya were not successful as he was participating in a ceremony in Colombo today.
