Railway strike action called off [UPDATE]

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The trade union strike action launched by the Locomotive Engine Drivers and the Guards has been called off on Saturday (09).

A trade union strike action launched since midnight owing to prevailing issues affecting their duties.

However, following discussions with the Authorities, the Railway Trade Unions decided to calls off the strike action.

Accordingly, the train services are likely to be fully normalised by this afternoon.
