2 Buildings declared open in Harispattuwa under ‘Nearest School is the Best School’ Project

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Some 200 school administrative buildings which built across the island by the Ministry of Education under the programme “Nearest School is the Best School” were officially absorbed to the national school system on Friday (01).

Under this project, Rs. 48 million rupees were assigned to construct two administrative buildings in the Harispattuwa Electorate Division and those buildings which had completed its constructions were declared open yesterday the Minister of Postal Services and Muslim Religious Affairs, Abdul Haleem.

One of these buildings was built for Poojapitiya National School at the cost of Rs. 30 million and the other built for Dolapihilla Central College at the cost of Rs. 18 million.

Principals of the respective Schools, Poojapitiya Divisional Secretary Mrs.madahapola, Katugastota Zonal Director and Staff Members, Opposition Leaders of Poojapitiya and Harispattuwa Pradeshya Saba Mr.Ramzan and Mr. Lalith Ranaraja, Pradeshya Saba Members, school children and parents also graced this inauguration ceremony.
