Wind to strengthen over Sri Lanka and surrounding sea areas

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Windy condition is expected to strengthen over the island and surrounding sea areas today (12) and tomorrow (13), the Department of Meteorology stated.

Wind speed can increase up to 60 kilometres per hour at times across the island particularly in North-Western, Northern, North-Central, Central, Southern, and Eastern Provinces.

Several spells of showers will occur in the Eastern, Central, North-Central and Uva Provinces, and in Hambanthota District, the Met. Department further added.
