(UTV|COLOMBO) – UPDATE: The brother of Actor Ryan Van Rooyen who was arrested on Thursday (07) has been released following a questioning.
He was taken into custody at his residence in Dehiwela after the Police Special Task Force (STF) and Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) recovered a digital scale and a travelling-bag with a false bottom were discovered at Ryan’s residence.

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Two empty cocaine pouches were recovered from the residence of Singer Amal Perera, in a joint search operation conducted by the Police Special Task Force (STF) and Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) on Thursday (07).
Meanwhile, the STF and the PNB recovered a digital scale and a travelling-bag with a false bottom at Actor Ryan Van Rooyen’s residence. The STF arrested the Actor’s brother for further questioning.
The residences of both Artistes were searched following the arrests of Amal along with his son, and Ryan with a wanted Sri Lankan underworld drug kingpin, ‘Makandure Madush’ in a raid at a hotel in Dubai.
