(UTV|COLOMBO) – Prevailing showery condition is expected to enhance today (08) and tomorrow (09), the Department of Meteorology stated.
Showers or thundershowers will occur over most parts of the island particularly after 2.00 PM.
Heavy falls above 100 millimetres can be expected at some places in Sabaragamuwa, Central, Western and North-Western Provinces, and Galle and Matara Districts. Fairly heavy falls about 75 millimetres can be expected at some places in Trincomalee and Anuradhapura Districts.
Light showers may occur at several places in Eastern coastal areas during the morning too, the Met. Department further added.
