(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of Kokkadichcholai Police who was arrested on Wednesday (31) for accepting a bribe, is to be produced before the Magistrate’s Court today (31).
The OIC had accepted a bribe of Rs. 25,000 at the Police Station when he was arrested by Officers attached to the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC).
It is reported that the OIC had solicited the bribe from a sand businessman to get a sand lorry released from the Police custody.
