(UTV|COLOMBO) – Australia vs Sri Lanka, first Test, day one at the Gabba — Sri Lanka has been bowled out for 144 after electing to bat in the Brisbane day-night Test.

The tourists were knocked over shortly after the dinner break, with Niroshan Dickwella scoring a boundary laden half-century (64). Australia is 0-16 in reply.

Dickwella, the only Sri Lankan to pass 25, was eventually accounted for by Pat Cummins (4-39), who did most of the damage with the ball alongside Jhye Richardson., while Mitchell Starc (2-41) and Nathan lyon (1-38) chipped in too.

Starc removed Suranga Lakmal (7) to take his career tally to 200 Test wickets before accounting Dilruwan Perera (1). Perera’s innings was played in two parts, having earlier retired hurt after being struck in his spinning hand by a Cummins short ball.
