Namal Rajapaksa before CID today

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Parliamentarian  Namal Rajapaksa has been summonded to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) today (23) to provide a statement, in connection to the claim made by an Indian national with regards to the conspiracy of the attempted assassination of the president and former defence secretary, Gotabhaya Rajapaksa.

Fort Magistrates court was recently informed that that action need to be taken to ensure that MPs Namal Rajapaksa, Wimal Weerawansa and his spouse, Mrs shashi Weerawansa would submit statements.

When the case was taken up in courts on Monday, the CID informed additional Colombo fort magistrate, Priyantha Liyanage that MP Wimal Weerawansa and his spouse had failed to appear before the CID.
