Pillayan further remanded

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – Former Eastern Province Chief Minister Sivanesathurai Chandrakanthan alias Pillayan has been further remanded till 20 this month by Batticaloa Magistrate N. Ganesharaja.

Pillayan was arrested by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) in October last year over the killing of former Tamil National Alliance (MP), Joseph Pararajasingam at St. Mary’s Church in Batticaloa on Christmas Day in 2005.
