(UTV|COLOMBO) A forest fire in a Kotagala-Rosita estate area has destroyed more than 25 acres of land.

Our correspondent in Hatton stated that the fire that broke out yesterday afternoon (09) has been stopped by the police and residents of the area.

The fire has spread with severe weather conditions in the area and the police suspected that a certain group has set fire to this hollow forest reserve.

Meanwhile, a fire which erupted at the Wetalawa Forest Reserve in Bandarawela last night has destroyed 12 acres of land.
