Ministry to probe Trinco jet landing

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Ministry of Law and Order under President Maithripala Sirisena has launched an investigation into an incident where a private jet had landed and taken off from the Air Force base in Trincomalee without the required authorisation.

The private jet had landed at the Trincomalee Air Force base and was said to be carrying investors from Singapore, China and Hong Kong. SLFP Media spokesperson Mahinda Samarasinghe described the incident as a threat to national security and asserted that the Ministry had launched investigations into the matter.
