Slight change in prevailing dry weather soon – Met. Department

(UTV|COLOMBO) – A slight change in the prevailing dry weather can be expected during next few days, the Department of Meteorology stated on Wednesday (09).

Several spells of showers will occur in Uva Province, and in Batticaloa, Ampara, Mathale and Hambantota Districts.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Central, Sabaragamuwa and Western Provinces, and in Galle and Matara Districts after 2.00 PM, the Met. Department stressed.

Fairly strong gusty winds up to 40 kilometres per hour can be expected over North-Western Province, and in Monaragala and Hambantota Districts.

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in the Sabaragamuwa Province during the morning.
