Alawathuwala hints more Ministers will be appointed soon

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Several new Ministers will be appointed in the course of time, the State Minister of Home Affairs and Provincial Councils, J. C. Alawathuwala stated.

He made this remarks addressing the media in Kandy, recently.

Alawathuwala stressed that President Maithripala Sirisena can hold only a limited number of Ministries within his purview following the enactment of the 19th Amendment to the Constitution.

Thereby, President Sirisena has to appoint several new Ministers to the Cabinet, he added.
