SLFP decides not to support the Government

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The twenty-one member group of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) has decided not to support the newly formed Government in Parliament.

The United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) Parliamentarian Nishantha Muthuhettigamage stated that the decision was reached following a meeting with President Maithripala Sirisena on Monday (17).

Accordingly, the SLFP Parliamentarians will continue to remain in the Opposition, Muthuhettigamage further added.
