Case against ‘Ali Roshan’ to hear from Feb. 13

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Permanent High Court Trial-at-Bar on Wednesday (05) decided to hear the case against the notorious elephant trader Niraj Roshan alias ‘Ali Roshan’ and six others from 13 February, 2019.

Roshan was arrested by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) for engaging in the illegal elephant trade and were later released on bail.

He is charged with capturing elephant calves in an inhumane manner from forests and selling them for profit to high-profile individuals.
