President insists he will not appoint Ranil as Premier

(UTV|COLOMBO) – President Maithripala Sirisena on Monday (03) refused to appoint Ranil Wickremesinghe as the Prime Minister.

The President met the United National Front (UNF) for discussions at the Presidential Secretariat on Monday (03), the second meeting between President Sirisena and UNF since Friday (Nov. 30).

However the discussions ended in failure after President Sirisena insisted he will not appoint Wickremesinghe as the Prime Minister.
