Case against Johnston Fernando postponed to March 21st

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – The Colombo Magistrates Court (MC) today (10th Tuesday) issued summons to Former Minister Johnston Fernando to appear before court on the 21st of March pertaining to five Bribery cases filed against him.

The five cases were filed by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption against MP Fernando over his failure to declare his assets and liabilities between 2010 and 2014.

Udhayam news learnt that the Colombo Chief Magistrate Lal Bandara postponed the case after officers attached to the Presidential Secretariat failed to appear before courts during the hearing this morning.
