Motion to suspend State funds to all Ministers, personal staff passed [UPDATE]

(UTV|COLOMBO) – UPDATE: A motion to curtail State funds to all Ministers and their personal staff, was passed by Parliament today (30).

The motion was passed with 122 members voting for it.

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The motion requesting to curtail the expenditure of all Cabinet, Deputy, State Ministers and their personal staff, was submitted to Parliament by the United National Front (UNF) on Friday (30).

The motion to curtail the Cabinet Ministers and State Ministers’ access to State funds was presented to Parliament by the United National Party (UNP) Parliamentarian Patali Champika Ranawaka at the Parliamentary session this morning.

UNP Parliamentarian Ranjith Madduma Bandara seconded the motion.
