Sri Lanka, Japan hold talks on matters of mutual interest

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Ambassador of Japan in Sri Lanka, Akira Sugiyama paid a visit to Eastern Naval Command Headquarters, on Friday (23). Upon the arrival, he was accorded a Guard of Honour in compliance with naval traditions and warmly received by the Commander Eastern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Sumith Weerasinghe, at the Eastern Naval Command Headquarters.

Later on, Ambassador Sugiyama met the Area Commander and they held cordial discussions on a range of topics which were of mutual interests and bilateral importance, and mementoes were exchanged to mark the occasion.
