(UTV|COLOMBO) – Inspector of Police (IP) Neomal Rangajeewa, who was arrested over the 2012 Welikada Prison riot, has been reinstated in his position at the Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) with effect from Wednesday (21), as per the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Pujith Jayasundara’s orders, it is learnt.
Rangajeewa was arrested together with former Prisons Commissioner Emil Ranjan over the incident, and recently released on bail.
