President rejects fresh vote on no-confidence motion – Lakshman Yapa

(UTV|COLOMBO) – President Maithripala Sirisena has rejected the fresh vote on the no-confidence motion on Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa, which was passed in Parliament on Friday (16), MP Lakshman Yapa Abeywardena said.

President had noted Yesterday evening (16) that the vote was not conducted in the right manner, Parliamentarian Lakshman Yapa Abeywardena further stated.

President had also noted he will not make United National Party leader Ranil Wickremesinghe Prime Minister again, he added.
