(UTV|COLOMBO) – The All Ceylon Makkal Congress (ACMC) welcomed the Supreme Court Stay Order on the dissolution of Parliament on Tuesday (13).

“This is a great victory for our democracy” said the Leader of ACMC, Parliamentarian Rishad Bathiudeen immediately after the verdict on 13 November. Earlier, arriving in the Courts in the afternoon, he said “We are confident that justice will be served.”
ACMC too filed a petition in the Supreme Courts – among the thirteen petitioners – against the dissolution of Parliament by President Maithripala Sirisena.
