(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Gazette Notification containing announcements from the Elections Commission on the number of members to be elected, the number of nominees to be included in nomination lists and the bond to be deposited for the 2019 Parliamentary Election, was issued by the Government on Monday (12).
As per the Extraordinary Gazette Notification issued by the Government the number of Parliamentarians to be elected from the relevant Districts are as follows;
- Colombo District – 19
- Gampaha District – 18
- Kurunegala District – 15
- Kandy District – 12
- Ratnapura District – 11
- Kalutara District – 10
- Galle District – 10
- Anuradhapura District – 09
- Kegalle District – 09
- Nuwara Eliya District – 08
- Puttalam District – 08
- Badulla District – 08
- Matara District – 07
- Hambantota District – 07
- Jaffna District – 07
- Digamadulla District – 07
- Moneragala District – 06
- Vanni District – 06
- Batticaloa District – 05
- Matale District – 05
- Polonnaruwa District – 05
