FR petitions against Parliament dissolution to taken up at 2.00 PM [UPDATE]

(UTV|COLOMBO) – UPDATE: Fundamental Rights (FR) petitions filed by political parties and civil society organisations against early dissolution of Parliament by President Maithripala Sirisena, will be taken up for hearing by the Supreme Court at 2.00 PM on Monday (12).

(UTV|COLOMBO) – UPDATE: Fundamental Rights (FR) petitions filed by political parties and civil society organisations against early dissolution of Parliament by President Maithripala Sirisena, to be considered today by Chief Justice Nalin Perera and two other Supreme Court Judges.

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Ten petitions including political parties and civil society organisations filed at the Supreme Court against the early dissolution of Parliament by President Maithripala Sirisena.

Earlier, the All Ceylon Makkal Congress (ACMC), the United National Party (UNP), the Tamil National Alliance (TNA), the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP), and the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC) stated that they will also be filing cases in the Supreme Court against the dissolution of Parliament on Monday (12).
