SLTB bus fares to be reduced by 2%

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The National Transport Commission (NTC) has decided to reduce the bus fares of Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) by two per cent with effect from midnight Thursday (08).

The NTC had taken the decision in accordance with new Government’s decision to reduce the price of auto diesel by Rs. 7.00 with effect from 01 November.

Following discussions held with the National Transport Commission (NTC), the private bus, associations had also decided to reduce the fare by two per cent with effect from midnight today.
