“Pakistan supports consolidation of democratic process in Sri Lanka,” Envoy says

(UTV|COLOMBO) – High Commissioner of Pakistan, Dr. Shahid Ahmad Hashmat met Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa and Speaker Karu Jayasuriya on Thursday (01).

During the meetings, the current political situation in Sri Lanka was discussed.

The High Commissioner reiterated Pakistan’s support for continuation and consolidation of democratic process in Sri Lanka. He expressed the hope that the on-going political situation will be overcome peacefully and amicably in accordance with the Constitution and aspirations of Sri Lankan people.
