(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Leader of the Mahashon Balakaya, Amith Weerasinghe who was remanded over the violence in Digana, Kandy, was granted bail by the Kandy High Court on Monday (29).
Weerasinghe and several others had been arrested and placed in remand custody following the communal violence in Kandy.
