Three individuals summoned to Police over Ravi’s claims of drone used to video his residence [UPDATE]

(UTV|COLOMBO) – UPDATE: Three individuals have been summoned to the Thalangama Police for operating a drone camera over the residence of Parliamentarian Ravi Karunanayake.

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Former Minister, Parliamentarian Ravi Karunanayake complained to Parliament on Thursday (25) stating a drone camera had been used to video his residence in Kotte, which is located near Parliament.

Karunanayake stressed that his residence was being video recorded using a drone camera by an individual claiming to be from a private television channel.

He urged Speaker Karu Jayasuriya to investigate the incident as it posed a threat to him and Parliament as the drone cameras are not permitted to operate near Parliament.

Speaker Karu Jayasuriya said he would inform the Police to investigate the matter.
