Police fire tear gas and water cannons to disperse University students

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Police fired tear gas and water to disperse protesting University students at Ward Place on Friday (19).

Ward Place was closed near the University Grants Commission (UGC) during the protest, resulting in severe traffic congestion.

The Police later fired tear gas and used water cannons to disperse the students.
