Sri Lanka reports increase in leptospirosis cases

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Health Officials have reported an increase in the number cases of the bacterial disease, leptospirosis due to the recent rainy weather.

During the past twelve-days, sixty-eight individuals have been identified with the bacterial disease, while from January to October this year, Authorities have reported a total of 3,303 cases.

The district seeing the most leptospirosis cases is Ratnapura District.
